Jason Springel is a Senior Global PowerSchool Specialist for PowerSchool Group LLC and works with schools around the world providing technical and solutions-oriented product demonstrations for PowerSchool. Jason has been assisting schools with their technology needs in a variety of roles for the past 21 years. Prior to PowerSchool becoming an independent company in August 2015, Jason spent 10 years at Pearson. While at Pearson Jason spent 2 years as a sales consultant on K-8 digital curriculum products before joining the School Systems division where he become a well-known speaker and trainer at user group conferences and PowerSchool University. Prior to his work at Pearson, Jason spent 11 years at Apple in a variety of technical and consultative roles within Apple’s education division. Jason has been a fan and user of PowerSchool since 1999, and feels privileged to officially represent the product. Jason will show us what’s new in PowerSchool 9.0 and 9.1 and teach other topics as well — TBA soon, based on your interests!

The conference fee for three days including all sessions, materials, lunches, coffee, social event & dinner, hotel-school transportation, and sightseeing tour is EUR 300 per person (EUR 270 not including the social event & dinner).
We welcome attendees from any school, especially the Middle East and Africa – you do not necessarily have to be at a European school to attend.

We are proud to announce that the fourth annual European PowerSchool Users’ Group Conference will take place
September 25-27, 2015 at The American International School of Zagreb, Croatia
This event will be an excellent opportunity to increase your PowerSchool knowledge, share resources, get your questions answered, and network with counterparts at schools across Europe, so mark your calendars and save the dates! While Pearson will likely send a representative or trainers to be present at the conference, this event is initiated and organized entirely by users.
The American International School of Zagreb is a K-12 school that implemented PowerSchool in 2008. The campus is located within an old seminary building near the very centre of Zagreb. Check out the school’s website, or learn about AISZ here.
The 2014 Conference took place September 25-27 at The Archbishop’s Seminary in Rabat, Malta. The Archbishop’s Seminary have been strong supporters of the European PSUG since its founding and were excited to serve as the hosts of the 2014 conference.
The event was a great success. 32 people from 19 different schools attended sessions over three days. The primary presenters were Greg Satterwhite, who taught multiple session focusing on scheduling, and Roger Sprik, who focused on topics related to customization, PowerSchool 8, and GPA/Honor Roll. Romy Backus taught sessions on customization, language translation, and how her school has used PowerSchool to transition to paperless reporting. Alex Toader and Sanja Kišiček taught on customization and VisualPST/Object Reports respectively. Attendees were also able to work collaboratively and get questions answered by the experts at an Open Lab session on the last day.
In addition to their learning about PowerSchool, attendees toured Malta on an open-top bus tour of the island, followed by a group dinner in Malta’s capital city, Valletta. On the second night, a BBQ at the school and a walking tour of the nearby old town of Mdina provided further opportunities for networking and socializing.
