Adam Larsen is an internationally-known PowerSchool administrator, speaker, developer, analyst, and trainer. He has blended a background as a web developer and school psychologist into a single position where he manages the collection and analysis of data, coaches principals in the use of student information, and develops tools for tracking and reporting student progress for a medium-sized rural school district in the United States, about 160km from Chicago. Adam managed the PowerSchool implementation for this district in 2010 and continues as the chief administrator of the system today. He is also the owner and principal developer at Aurora Educational Technology, which provides PowerSchool consulting services as well as many wonderful free plugins to the PowerSchool community.
Tera has been employed with El Reno Public Schools in Oklahoma since 1991. She began her career as a high school math teacher then moved to the technology department in 2000. She became the PowerSchool Administrator when her district implemented PowerSchool in 2008 and is currently the Director of Information Systems and Communications for her district. She was instrumental in the formation of the Oklahoma PSUG where she serves as the Executive Director. She is a regular presenter at several regional PSUG conferences as well as the National PSUG conference.
Greg is the president and principal consultant at PSTechGroup, Inc. A former tech support manager and trainer at PowerSchool with more than a decade of PowerSchool experience, he goes back to the days in the late 90’s when what is now PowerScheduler was being developed and later integrated into the PowerSchool SIS. He has presented at numerous PSUG conferences over the years. Working with schools all over the world, Greg specializes in Scheduling, Standards, training and implementations.
Romy has been in the PowerSchool world since 2010 and chairs the Middle East PSUG. She’s currently the Student Information Systems Specialist at the American School of Dubai and was previously PowerSchool Coordinator at Zurich International School in Switzerland. Apart from founding the European PSUG in 2012 and organizing annual conferences since then across Europe and the Middle East, she also trains regionally and nationally in the United States. She contributes to the online forums, maintains several customizations on PowerSource Exchange, serves on PowerSchool’s Customer Advisory Board, and enjoys working closely with international schools around the world to represent their voice to PowerSchool product managers and create connections with the wider community.
Sam Sale (PowerSchool, LLC)
Sam Sale is PowerSchool’s Solution Strategy Director for Unified Classroom and International. He spent six years as a classroom teacher (in South Korea and the US), where he used PowerSchool’s solutions on a daily basis. Since leaving the classroom in 2013, he has worked as an Account Manager, Solution Engineer, and, most recently, Solution Strategy Director; a role that allows him to focus on ensuring that the needs of users are clearly reflected in PowerSchool’s R&D strategy.
Julie Woestman (PowerSchool, LLC)
Julie Woestman is one of PowerSchool’s Solution Engineers for the Academic Suite. She has spent the last 7 years working with public, charter, and independent schools. As a Solution Engineer, Julie focuses on presenting PowerSchool’s academic solutions in order to solve the school’s technology needs.
